OVERVIEW

This list is created according to the following criteria:

1. The criterion for the occurrence of a storm is that there is at least a span of three hours during which the Dst index is below -40nT.

2. The type of storm commencement is either Gradual, Sudden or Unknown(?).

3. Although there is a single global Dst minimum in a storm, there maybe multiple local Dst minimums. The number of Dst minimums is indicated in column 3. The criteria for a local Dst minimum is such that the local descent of Dst is larger than 40nT. The number of rows for a storm is the same as the number of Dst minimums.

4. Storms for which hourly data are available, are in highlighted form and can be accessed by clicking on them.
