Planetary Data System
Demonstration CDROM

An educational outreach project to make particles and field data from the Galileo tour of Jupiter available to educators. This is a demonstration of concept providing a single lesson concerned with the discovery of Ganymead's magnetic field. The project is developing a standard display format using hypertext links and a lesson plan editor to assist others in creating similar lessons. The lesson utilizes software and date fields that create trajector files for all the planets, Galileo, and the moons of Jupiter. It also provides a variety of means for visualizing the magnetic field observed by the UCLA magnetometer on Galileo.
