Welcome to...

The home page of the data processing and inter-calibration group of the Cluster mission. We are located in the Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics (IGPP) at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

The UCLA contribution to the Cluster mission is headed by Prof. Margaret Kivelson and Richard Elphic who are also co-investigators in the magnetic field experiment (MAG). Our institute provides expertise in the magnetic cleanliness and magnetometer calibration and inter-calibration. The UCLA team is also responsible for routine data reduction and processing and writing software for the inflight intra and inter calibration of the magnetometer tetrahedron.
