Graduate Studies

Faculty members in IGPP are affiliated with several teaching departments. Graduate students in the Departments of Atmospheric Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Earth and Space Sciences, Mathematics, Microbiology, and Physics and Astronomy carry out research in the IGPP in collaboration with their faculty advisors. Two departments offer graduate courses and degrees in the Geosciences: Earth and Space Sciences and Atmospheric Sciences. A complete UCLA Schedule of Classes is available through the UCLA main WWW server. In addition, the associated department Web pages offer information on classes in their departments.

IGPP offers fellowship support for outstanding entering graduate students. Additional student support is available through the teaching departments and the IGPP Centers.

Undergraduate Studies

The Atmospheric Sciences Department offers a Bachelor of Science degree in ... The Earth and Space Sciences Department offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysics with specialities in Geophysics and Space Physics and Applied Geophysics. The IGPP Centers offer employment opportunities to UCLA undergraduate students helping with research projects.
