Welcome to the Institute of Geophysics and
Planetary Physics (IGPP) at UCLA. We are
an interdisciplinary institute that brings to
bear advanced ideas and methods from the
physical and life sciences to research and
education in the geosciences and to their
applications. This site tells you who we are
and what we do: our faculty, researchers
and students; the centers within the
IGPP/UCLA; our sister branches within the
UC-systemwide IGPP; and the teaching
departments and other research institutes
within UCLA with whom we share faculty
appointments and activities.
