The Oxygen Isotopic Evolution of the Solar Protoplanetary Disk

Abstract

Photochemistry involving CO in the early stages of evolution of the solar protoplanetary disk may be the explanation for the anomalous array of 17O/16O and 18O/16O in primitive solar system materials. This concept will be explored using modeling and the record of isotopic evolution recorded in meteorites.
